Our thoughts:

With its name and warm, buttery colouring, you’d be forgiven for assuming that this bottle originates from the Brittany region of France. Alas, it’s the Loire, and Saumur to be exact. The nose is ripe with gooseberries, peaches and lemon, the latter of which follows through immediately on the palate. More white peach seeps through as the acidity wanes. A decidedly mineral finish, like the aftertaste of oyster, or wiping out after nailing a perfect pipe.
